The report, prepared jointly by business school INSEAD and few other institutions, said that Qatar improved its world ranking by nine places vis-a-vis its 2010 position.
Last year, the Gulf country was placed 35th on the Global Innovation Index. The Global Innovation Index is computed as an average of the scores across input pillars (describing the enabling environment for innovation) and output pillars (measuring actual achievements in innovation).
The UAE, which has the second position in the Middle East, is eight ranks below Qatar at No. 34 in the list. No other Middle East country figured in the top 40 on the Global Innovation Index.
As per the findings of The Global Innovation Index 2011 edition, Switzerland topped this year's GII ranking, with Sweden in second place and Singapore third.
Joining INSEAD as Knowledge Partners for the report were Alcatel-Lucent, Booz & Company , the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), a specialised agency of the United Nations.
The GII includes 16 economies from the Middle East and North Africa. While Qatar and the UAE are in the top 40, the other GCC economies are ranked in the top 60. Bahrain secured 46th rank, Kuwait was 52nd, Saudi Arabia 54th and Oman 57th.
Three countries from the region are within the bottom 15. They are Syria (115), Yemen (123) and Algeria (125). The five pillars of GII constitute the Innovation Input Sub-Index: 'institutions', 'human capital and research', 'infrastructure', 'market sophistication' and 'business sophistication'.

Country of Rich God and Poor People

Kerala temple could be the richest in country This is not the only temple which is rich. This lies in India's Varn Vyavastha which has made Temples and Their Priest Rich. They are sole owner of the national wealth. Indian poor remain hungry but riches goes to temple and they remain rich. This has percolated to Mazar and shrines also. The economic status of majority lower caste, and status of upper caste minority is clear indication of exploitation. Today the 4%+10% upper class ( Brahmins+ Shatriya+Vaishave) governs more than than 80% wealth in the country, even after 60 years of independents Burocracy still has 70% domination of upper class and industry is their bastion. The present system and system which is adopted by present government is for making rich more rich and poor .........poorer. This is post independent story. Call it the mother of all treasure hunts. The stock-taking by a panel of experts at the Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple has catapulted the shrine located here to the country's richest, with reports claiming that the value of recoveries may have touched close to Rs 1 lakh crore, more than Kerala public debt of Rs 70,969 crore.

To whom this wealth belongs The wealth of all religious shrines and temples must be governed independetly and used for the welfare of people. Even though there is billions of dollars in Waqf properties in India, everything is mis used by government nominated boards and ministers. Peoples are building Mansions on it. Mukesh Ambani billion dollar home is built on Waqf property. These properties really belongs to peoples and must be used for welfare of the peoples of nations. Temples, Mazars and for that matter all such institutions must be controlled and governed in most transparent way and this wealth must be used for welfare. If this is done India will not have poor and hungry anywhere. The best method is using this wealth, including Waqf for creating welfare institutuins and running them. The infrastructure of the Hospitals and Schools and Colleges, Orphanages should be created with this money. After creating these institution should be run Professionally or some other scheme's should be designed so that every one in the society get the benefits. No one has right to hold these properties to ransom when peoples are dying of hunger. The Waqf has billions of dollars assets in Delhi alone, What is the use? Waqf are created for welfare of the people? All these treasure are national wealth and should be used for welfare of people. I do not trust the present corrupt government and their mechanism for this purpose. Nation needs much more transparent and accountable mechanism to use these treasures for welfare of the people.

Thiruvananthapuram: Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala could well be the richest in the country as unofficial estimates Saturday, the sixth day of preparing an inventory of treasures in its six chambers, suggested the value of its gold, diamond and other precious metals at close to Rs one lakh crore. The inventory of the temple here, maintained by the erstwhile royal family of Travancore, is being made by a seven-member Supreme Court-appointed panel. The stock-taking process was ordered by the Supreme Court following a petition by advocate TP Sundararajan over mismanagement of the temple affairs. On Monday, ahead of entering the temple chambers for the first time, the committee chairman, retired Kerala High Court judge MN Krishnan, said he hoped to finish the entire process by the end of the week. The temple has a total of six chambers, named A to F by the committee. With chamber B yet to be opened and chamber A's accounting ending on Saturday, and two more chambers left unopened yet, it is expected that the inventory process may continue for a few more days. The inventory of a chamber opened on Friday could only be completed Saturday. The committee, which includes a gemmologist, stumbled upon a nearly four-foot-tall statue of Lord Vishnu in gold and studded with emeralds. Other precious items that were accounted for Saturday included several golden statues, almost all weighing two kg each. Among other things are a gold necklace as long as 15 feet, and crowns studded with emeralds, rubies and diamonds. The chamber is situated around 20 feet under the ground. The committee conducted the examination using artificial lights. As of now, the Balaji temple in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh is believed to be the richest temple in the country, followed by Shirdi Sai Baba shrine in Maharashtra.

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ ﴿1:4﴾
(1:4) The Master of the Day of Recompense
Allah will be the Lord of the Day when all generations of mankind gather together on order to render an account of their conduct, and when each person will be finally rewarded or punished for his deeds. The description of God as Lord of the Day of Judgment following the mention of his benevolence and compassion indicates that we ought to remember another aspect of God as well-namely, that He will judge us all, that He is so absolutely powerful, that on the Day of Judgment no one will have the power either to resist the enforcement of punishments that He decrees or to prevent anyone from receiving the rewards that He decides to confer. Hence, we ought not only to love Him for nourishing and sustaining us and for His compassion and mercy towards us, but should also hold Him in awe because of His justice, and should not forget that our ultimate happiness or misery rests completely with Him.

Surah 99. Al-Zilzal

إفَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ﴿99:7﴾
(99:7) So, whoever does an atom’s weight of good shall see it;

وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ ﴿99:8﴾

Merits of fasting in Sha`ban

The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) alerted us to this fact when he was asked why he was fasting so much in Sha`ban. He replied: “It is a month that people neglect, between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which actions are raised to the Lord of the Worlds and I love for my actions to be raised while I am fasting.”
There is a daily display after Fajr and `Asr, and a weekly display on Monday and Thursday, and a yearly display which takes place in the month of Sha`ban. The Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) was keen to do good works at all these times and was keen for his Ummah to do the same.

Usamah Ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting in any other month like you fast in Sha'ban.' He said, 'That is a month to which people do not pay attention, between Rajab and Ramadan, and it is a month in which deeds are lifted up to the Lord of the Worlds. I like for my deeds to be lifted up when I am fasting.'" (Nasa'i). According to a report narrated by Abu Dawood, he said: "The most beloved of months for the Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) to fast in was Sha'ban, and his fasting in Sha'ban was continuous with his fasting in Ramadan." (Classed as Saheeh by al-Albani)
One of the greatest works we can do in Sha`ban is fasting, and this is what the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) loved to be doing when his actions were raised, on Monday and Thursday and also during Sha`ban. Sayyida `A’isha RaziAllahunha said of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace): “I did not see him fasting in any month more than Sha`ban.” She also said: “The month which he loved to fast the most was Sha`ban
Hadith - Bukhari, Vol. 4, Hadith No. 446, Narrated Abu Huraira, r.a.
The Prophet (saaws) said, "Angels keep on descending from and ascending to the heaven in turn, some at night and some by daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Then those who have stayed with you overnight ascend unto Allah Who asks them (and He knows the answer better than they): "How have you left My slaves?" They reply, "We left them while they were praying and we came to them while they were praying." The narrator added: all his past sins will be forgiven."
1256. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Deeds of people are presented (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays. So I like that my actions be presented while I am fasting.'' [At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: Observance of Saum on Monday and Thursday is Mustahabb (desirable), and the reason for its being so has been mentioned in the Hadith.
1257. `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her)u reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to observe fast on Mondays and Thursdays. [At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: "Yataharra" in the Hadith means to seek and search, that is, he (PBUH) used to make special arrangements for it. The reason he was so particular about these Saum has been mentioned in the previous Hadith.
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah(Raziyallahutala Anahu), who said that the Messenger of Allah () said: The gates of Paradise will be opened on Mondays & on Thursdays, and every servant [of Allah] who associates nothing with Allah will be forgiven, except for the man who has a grudge against his brother. [About them] it will be said: Delay these two until they are reconciled; delay these two until they are reconciled. [Hadith Qudsi 20]
Riyad as-Salihin (The Meadows of the Righteous)
1247. 'A'isha said, "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not fast in any month more than Sha'ban. He used to fast all of Sha'ban." In one variant, "He used to fast Sha'ban except for a little." [Agreed upon]

There is only Lose - Lose for people of Bengal.

This is start of long legal battle for TaTa's. In this battles lines are drawn and I know the final result, the people of Bengal will lose. This battle of Titan and Czars is not going to any where and will take years and many more projects in the offing in Bengal will go sae fate. There will be no new industrial project in near future and no development because nothing can happen without land. The Battle willgoon. The development will lose.
This will increase migration of Bengal Peoples towards more affluentcitiees of Mumbai and Delhi where they are not wecomes and many times face actions in their own ation and atrociteis. What kind of nation are we really want to build. Alread other industrial sites are under pressures including site of NTPC power plant and pressure will build on industry.

Didi Ka Band Baja

LAND ISSUES LEAVE TRINAMOOL IN A FIX

Didi Ka Band Baja ( Sisters Band)
Da Ki Roshanai ( Brothers Lighting)
Diggiraja ki Dance Party ( Diggi's Dance Party)
Yuraj Ka hai Rajyabhishek
Amma, Bahanji Tum bhi Aana
Nyota Tumhe Hamane Diya
Tumhare Bagair Rajyabhishe Hai Adhoora
Agali Bar Mil Ke Ladenge

These are my lines for Indian Political Scene. This is difficult for other to understand written with local dialects and meaning.

Land struggle — a Pandora ’sbox the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) opened while in the Opposition — has landed the party in a fix, with TMC now on the ruling side.
After the state assembly passed the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Bill, 2011, last week, there are demands from unwilling farmers for returning their land, acquired in projects such as Burdwan health city, Siliguri satellite township and the NTPC power plant at Katwa. Kick-started by the TMC, the land agitations at these sites are taking a new turn now.
Soon after the Bill was passed in the assembly, agitators stalled work at Burdwan health city site, causing trouble for the authority. The health city is being developed in a publicprivate partnership by the Burdwan Development Authority and the Bengal Faith Health Care (BFHC), a special purpose vehicle promoted by CES Infratech and Faith Health Care, aCES group company.
“On May 14, about 300-400 people rushed to our project site and stopped work completely. Some 70-80 farmers were unwilling to give their land and, reportedly, they even rejected the cheques, but no major agitation had happened till the government ’sdecision. Now, we have been thrown out of the site. Even the outpatient unit, operational with four specialist doctors, is not being allowed to work,” said a BFHC official. The company was planning to start full operations from October this year. However, the plans seem to have been derailed by “Banerjee ’sSingur Bill”.
According to reports, about 84 farmers had turned down cheques issued in exchange for 23 acres of the land acquired in 2005 for the project in Goda. For the `1,200-crore project, 57 acres of land was acquired from more than 350 owners and BFHC has already invested `50 crore. The TMC, which went on adamage-control mode, sent Rabiranjan Chatterjee, technical education minister, to the site to speak to the unwilling farmers.
“He came up with some suggestions, including returning the land and demanding more compensation. In the wake of all this, only time can prove what will happen to the project,” the official said.
All is also not well at the proposed satellite township in the Kawakhali-Porajhar area in Siliguri, where acquisition of 320 acres of land started in 2004. The protests were spearheaded by Congress leader and member of parliament from Raniganj, along with the TMC and the Revolutionary Socialist Party.
“We have given compensation and allotted 800-odd plots to those losing their land. There were some people who were unwilling to part with their land and are protesting to have it back. The matter is with the court now,” said D K Roy, assistant town planner of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority, which is planning the project.
Meanwhile, TMC itself was planning a Singur re-run at the Katwa power plant site, where top leaders like Saugata Ray, Purnendu Bose and Sovan Chatterjee paid a visit. The unwillingness to acquire land from those unwilling to sell seems to be a hindrance for this `9,600crore project for a 1,600-mega watt NTPC plant. The public sector undertaking had taken over the Katwa project from the West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd, which had acquired 387 of the 1,035 acres required for the project last year.
According to sources, Banerjee, who heads the power ministry herself, will not allow acquiring more than 600 acres of land. “There needs to be some openeness from the government for the project to continue,” complained a top NTPC official.
On the other hand, Saugata Ray, a member of parliament who once headed the campaign through the Save Farmland Committee, said, “A lot will depend on the ground situation. People in Katwa never wanted further acquisition of land.” In Katwa, 1,033 acres of land belong to 4,600 farmers and not many were willing to give their land even for the first phase of the project. Matters have worsened after the Singur Bill.
However, for the TMC, it seems a ghost from the past has started to haunt them now.
After the Singur Land Rehabilitation and Development Bill, 2011 was passed, there have been demands from unwilling farmers for the return of their land acquired for projects across the state

Fuel price hike to push inflation into double-digit: PMEAC

Do India needs Petrol and Diesel Subsidies?

If we look at India's Subsidies budget, it s going up very fast. Because of these subsidies most of the major developmental initiatives are going no whee. Investment in Development of Agriculture Infrastructure and Investment in Water mnagement along with Railway Connectivity, Road and Airport developemt which can change india's landscape are way behind the schedule?

To whom really government want to subsidies? The rich middle cost, who can afford car of INR 1 million or may be more? Why? For what?

These subsidies are killing the development must be relook at?
instead of giving Fuel Subsidies government should invest in Public Transportation system. This will stop wastage and give long awaited speed to development?

The whole issue of subsidies and the way they are given must be re looked at? The way number of vehicles are increasing in India? How much subsidies this government afford to give?
There shouldnot be free bies of luxury?

India needs to invest much more in Health, Education and transporation along with agriculture.

Euro Crisis: Derivatives Cloud the Possible Fallout From a Greek Default - CNBC

In years past, when financial crises in Argentina and Russia left those countries unable to make good on their government debts, they simply defaulted. But this time around, swaps and other sorts of contracts have become so common and so intertwined in the financial markets that there are fears among regulators and financial players about how a Greek default would play out among derivatives holders.
The looming uncertainties are whether these contracts — which insure against possibilities like a Greek default — are concentrated in the hands of a few companies, and if these companies will be able to pay out billions of dollars to cover losses during a default.

Government unhappy with US response to troubles of Indian diplomats.
NEW DELHI: Reacting to the forced labour suit brought against Indian consul general in New York Prabhu Dayal , the government here protested against what it called the targeting of the country's diplomats in the US, subtly cautioning that it could sour public opinion and have repercussions for ties. Trashing as "motivated and baseless" the charge that Dayal forced his Indian domestic help to work like a slave, the foreign ministry said, "We are disappointed and deeply concerned that Indian diplomats and their family members should be targeted in such a manner in a friendly country like the US." It added, "Such actions impede the ability of the individuals in question to discharge their official responsibilities as well as cause untold mental harassment and anguish. These incidents cannot be dismissed lightly."

India to issue another warning to US on hike of professional visa fees

NEW DELHI: India will issue yet another warning to the United States on the non-compatibility of the recent hike in professional visa fees and imposition of additional import taxes on government purchases with World Trade Organisation, or WTO, rules. Commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma will take up the issue with US Trade Representative Ron Kirk later this week. "We are seriously pursuing the issue with the US government as we feel that both the measures violate global trade rules. The minister will discuss the issue at length with the USTR," a commerce department official told ET. Sharma is scheduled to meet Kirk in Washington DC on Wednesday.

India had issued a non-paper or an informal communication to the US earlier this year stating that both the measures, that were part of the country's attempt to fund its enhanced border security plan and health programme for 9/11 victims, flouted multilateral trade norms of the WTO. The US, however, is yet to respond to the communication. "The minister will try to drive home the point that we are not willing to let go of the issue as the measures have a significant negative impact on Indian business," the official said, adding that the commerce ministry is in consultation with WTO lawyers and is preparing the ground for filing a case if required. The US increased professional visa fees (H-1B and L-1 visa) by a minimum $ 2,000 for all US-based companies that have more than half of their employees on such visas till 2015. It would mostly affect Indian IT firms, like Infosys and Wipro , and is expected to cost them $200 million annually.

Sari Situation: Indian Ambassador Pat Down

The Indian government is fuming this week after its ambassador to Washington was subjected a TSA pat-down at a Mississippi airport.
"This is unacceptable to India," said External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, according to the BBC. "We are going to take it up with the U.S. government, and I hope things could be resolved so that such unpleasant incidents do not recur."
According to the Indian embassy in Washington, Ambassador Meera Shankar was selected for secondary screening Dec. 4 at the Jackson-Evers International Airport, where she was catching a flight to Baltimore after attending a conference at Mississippi State University.
A university official quoted the ambassador as vowing never to return to Mississippi as a result of the incident, according to the Associated Press.
"The U.S. State Department has reached out to the ambassador and has regretted what had happened," Virander Paul, a spokesman for the Indian embassy, told ABC News.
Some reports have suggested that Ambassador Shankar was selected for the hands-on pat-down because she was wearing a sari, a traditional Indian wrap-around dress. Today, the Transportation Security Administration defended the actions of its officers.

TSA : Indian woman ambassador to US patted down and ill-treated in Mississippi airport

The security check procedure i.e. TSA being followed in US Airports is being criticized by the air passengers in US. Now, the Indian Ambassador to the US Meera ShankarShankar, the top most diplomat of India in US, was subjected to this rigorous security check of being patted down, despite her diplomatic status. This incident has created a public outcry in India. She was pulled from an airport security line and patted down by an American security agent at the Jackson- Evers International Airport Mississippi despite being told of her diplomatic status on December 4. The sari-clad Indian woman diplomat felt humiliated as she was subjected to the hands-on search.
This incident happened even when Shankar presented her diplomatic papers to officers and was escorted by a Mississippi Development Authority representative and an airport security officer. She was about to board a flight to Baltimore after attending the Mississippi State University's programme.
The Clarion-Ledger security agents told Meera Shankar she was singled out because she was wearing a sari, which the paper notes is as "a traditional Indian robe that is draped across the body." As the airport does not yet have full-body scanner, she was subjected to the thorough pat-down.

Another Indian diplomat 'patted down' at airport

New Delhi, Dec 13 (IANS) India has taken up the issue of another of its senior diplomats being 'patted down' at an American airport, this time involving India's permanent representative to United Nations Hardeep Puri.
"I have taken it up with the US authorities. And the matter is at that stage," External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna told reporters after the second such incident surfaced Monday. Hardeep Puri was asked to remove his turban during a security check at Houston, and was also kept in a 'holding room' for over half an hour, despite showing his diplomatic credentials."Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Clinton, has also given an indication to the fact that they are going to revisit some of these procedures, particularly with reference to diplomatic corps of other countries," added Krishna. The latest incident comes just two days after the US deputy chief of mission Donald Lu was summoned by New Delhi to protest against a similar 'pat down' of the Indian envoy Meera Shankar this month.Lu was summoned to the Ministry of External Affairs Saturday and conveyed India's "strong concerns" over the "pat down" search that Meera Shankar was subjected to at the Jackson-Evers International Airport Dec 4 after her visit as a guest of the Mississippi State University.According to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, Shankar was singled out from a group of 30 passengers and pulled aside. Witnesses told the paper that she was chosen as she was wearing a sari, and was patted down despite her diplomatic passport.Krishna had described Shankar's experience as "unacceptable". "We are going to take it up with the government of US that such unpleasant incidents do not recur," the minister had told reporters outside parliament Thursday. He had said there were "certain well-established conventions, well-established practices as to how members of diplomatic corps are treated in a given country". US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns had even made a personal call to Shankar to apologise for the incident.Former Indian diplomats have reacted to the latest incident by pointing out that there should be reciprocal treatment of foreign envoys in India."The issue is not just of diplomats, but also of our Sikh brethren, whose issue we had taken up several times," former Indian ambassador to US, Ronen Sen told Times Now television channel.

Barack Obama targets outsourcing again

WASHINGTON: Stepping up his campaign against outsourcing, US President Barack Obama on Friday asserted his administration would offer tax benefits only to those firms which will create jobs in the country, a move that may hit Indian IT firms in a big way.
"We believe on tax breaks for those firms that create jobs in the US. So we are beginning to do that," Obama said at a press conference here.
His remarks came close on the heels of the Ohio state governor passing an executive order to ban outsourcing, a development that has raised concerns in India which is often described as the world's back office.

Obama calls outsourcing to India unfair practice

Washington: Accusing US companies outsourcing business to India of following unfair business practices, President Barack Obama says his proposal to tax firms shipping jobs overseas was only intended to provide a level playing field.
"If you are a business here, entirely located in the United States, and investing in the United States, and hiring workers in the United States, you are paying a 35 percent rate," he said in an Oval office interview with Bloomberg/Businessweek.
"If you are a multinational and you are investing in India, and your workforce is in India, and your plants and equipment are in India, but your headquarters are here, you are taking deductions on all the expenses in India, but you are keeping your profits outside the United States, that just doesn't seem entirely fair," Obama said.
"The same is true where you have companies that have 90 percent of their sales in the United States, but are posting 90 percent of their profits overseas."
"You get a sense there that the accountants have been busy," he said, suggesting that these companies were taking unfair advantage of current tax laws.
Obama said taking note of "some legitimate concerns" about a similar proposal last year, "we made modifications around some of these proposals."

China, India are grabbing future jobs: Obama

US risks losing out to India, China: Obama

I do not see anything friendly in these events. If Team ManMoham sees friendly ties, then nation has ( India) has right to see differently. These are definitely no friendly incidents.

‘Abdullaah Ibn Mas’ood (RA) said: “I asked the Prophet (PBUH) which deed is most liked by Allah? He (PBUH) said: ‘Prayer offered on time.’ I asked him: ‘Then what? He (PBUH) said: ‘Kindness and respect towards parents.’…” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim
(17:24) 2. Treat your parents with great consideration; if either or both of them live with you in their old age, do not say even "fie" to them: nor rebuke them, but speak kind words to them; treat them with humility and tenderness and pray: "Lord, be merciful to them just as they brought me up with
(17:25) Your Lord best knows what is in your minds. if you live righteously, He surely forgives and turns towards all such people as are penitent and obedient.

This verse enjoins that after Allah's right, the greatest of aII the human rights is the right of parents: therefore, the children should obey and serve and respect their parents. The collective morality of society should make it incumbent on children to be grateful and respectful to their parents, they should serve them as they nursed and brought them up in their childhood. Above aII, this verse is not merely a moral recommendation but is the basis of the rights and powers of parents the details of which we find in the Books of Hadith and Fiqh. Moreover, respectful behavior and obedience to and observance of the rights of parents comprise the most important element of the material education and moral training in the Islamic Society and civilization. Incidentally, all these things have determined for ever the principle that the Islamic State shall make the family life sound and secure by laws, administrative regulations and educational policy and prevent its disintegration.
17:26) 3. Fulfil your obligations towards your relatives and the indigent and the wayfarer.
(31:14) We enjoined upon man to be dutiful to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning lasted two years. (We, therefore, enjoined upon him): “Give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me is your ultimate return.
The whole passage from lure to the end of the paragraph is a parenthesis, which AIIah has inserted as a further explanation of the saying of Luqman.

HADITH : KINDNESS TO PARENTSThe Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was once asked: "Is there any kindness that I can do for my parents after their death?" He replied: "Yes, you can invoke blessings on them, seek forgiveness for them, carry out their final instructions after their death, join ties of relationship that are dependent on them, and honor their friends."Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 2440

Allah's Messenger (Blessings & peace be upon him) said: ‘Let him be humbled into dust! Let him be humbled into dust!’ It was said: ‘O Allah's Messenger (Blessings & peace be upon him) who is he?’ He (Blessings & peace be upon him) said: ‘He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Paradise (through his deeds of service towards them)!’

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Shall I inform you of the biggest of the Greatest sins?" They said, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (saws)!" He (saws) said, "To join partners in worship with Allah, and to be UN-dutiful to one's parents." Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.290 Narrated by Abu Bakr

The Quran 2:83] We made a covenant with the Children of Israel: "You shall not worship except GOD. You shall honor your parents and regard the relatives, the orphans, and the poor. You shall treat the people amicably. You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat)." But you turned away, except a few of you, and you became averse.

[The Quran 6:151] Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has really prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides Him. You shall honor your parents. You shall not kill your children from fear of poverty - we provide for you and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious or hidden. You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."

The Quran 46:15] We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. His mother bore him arduously, gave birth to him arduously, and took intimate care of him for thirty months. When he reaches maturity, and reaches the age of forty, he should say, "My Lord, direct me to appreciate the blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do the righteous works that please You. Let my children be righteous as well. I have repented to You; I am a submitter."

(46:15) We have enjoined man to be kind to his parents. In pain did his mother bear him and in pain did she give birth to him. The carrying of the child to his weaning is a period of thirty months. And when he is grown to full maturity and reaches the age of forty, he prays: “My Lord, dispose me that I may give thanks for the bounty that You have bestowed upon me and my parents, and dispose me that I may do righteous deeds that would please You, and also make my descendants righteous. I repent to You, and I am one of those who surrender themselves to You.”

India - Challenges of Growth and Development

Corruption, BlackMoney , Lokpal and Affordibility of life ( Inflation)

Everyone is talking about corruption and one of most loved topic of media is black money, and now lokpal bill. There are many debates on all of this and everyone is talking about how to manage it or reduce the corruption.
I have not seen much talked and discussed about how these money is created, and why it is created and how to put of the hole.
Lokpal bill is one of the most important bill and it will improve the responsibility and bring corrupt cases into to forefront. Like RTI ( right to information act) it will be great achivement. This all will go in long way to become a nation who cares its people. I am not talking of Developed countries who do not care their own people and are arrogat. I am not talking of those who are least concerned about human rights and responsibility of powerful.
No, I am talking of nation India, who is responsible and humble towards world and its own people. Where every hand get work and dignity to sleep peacefully everynight with food and not worried for tomorrow's needs.
The major issues which India is facing to grow, and to grow responsibily. Without snatching or stealling from his own brothers and sisters.

  • Sources of Black money - One of the greatest challenge is our taxation system. India needs to deal with it and close the loopholes which creates blackmoney. ( I will write in detail on the issue. Only salaried class is tax payee because it is paid in bank and those who deals in millions of cash never gets tax notice)

  • India's Mandi Act ( food grain and agriculture commodities act)- This second source of proliferage.

  • Cash Transaction and banking in India. - All retail and wholesale trading happens as cash transaction. This must stop. This is source of black money, all kind of wholesale and retail transaction must be through bank. This will reduce cash and black money. Still more than half of India do not have banking account, let us make banking affordable to them. Give everyone of them account and reduce cash in system.

  • Indian Real Estate - Biggest investor or source where black is invested.

  • India Judiciary - Presently more than 10 years backlog is there in Supreme Court for constitutional bench. What kind of Governace are we talking off. If our highest court can not deal with matter of constitution for 10 years and many more years. The backlog of all other cases are well known. This is not justice system. India needs change in very first dimension of democracy, the justice. If this system can not deliver justice, what are we then talking off? We need a system which is time bound and accountable to deliver justice.

  • Accountability - If everyone is accountable and responsible for his task, why not judiciary? Let there will be system where Judiciary, including Highest Judiciary be held accounatable and required be prosecuted? Everyone here is human being and can make mistake so is judiciary, let there be a system which will held them accountable?

  • India Bureucracy - Let there be reform in indian bureucracy, politicians goes and comes back but our bureacracy remains there and needs to be cleaned.

  • Indian Criminal System - This is one of the area needs revamp. India needs clean, non corrupt IPC. Law and Order should be separate from investigation. Police and associated system is most corrupt and unaccountable system. They can put any one behind the bar for years under different law and after 5 to 10 years judiciary acquits him of wrong doing. What about lost time and injustice to him? Extra judicial killing is one of the most common phenomenon of Indian Police and Military. They are contract killer for Politician ( Gujarat or Business Mans, Delhi and Mumbai Cases). Do really India want such Police Force. We need a force, which people love to go to help. Present system is the system of British Empire and needs facelift.

  • Inflation is India's Foreign Policy Challenge and not Fiscal Policy Challenge.

  • Inflation is Indias Development Challenge, and not monetary or Fiscal Management.

Sovereign Debt Crisis: Investors Bet on Prospect of 'Greek Accident' - CNBC

Sovereign Debt Crisis: Investors Bet on Prospect of 'Greek Accident' - CNBC

This is called CDS, derivatives and many good name. I call them casino's and betting. This needs to controlled. No one has the right to tell and bet on others bankruptcy.

Why people should pay for those who are playing casino's. Let them play casino's. Please don't call it banking.

Keep the banking, only banking clean of all garbage.

Make investment banking, and all its instruments a separate system, and clearly mention their risk as casino's. Those who want to play, no one can stop them to play with their own money.

These people should not be allowed to play with retirees money, pension funds, university money and insurance money and governemnt money and tax payers money.

Let them play with their own money.

The best solution for Greece and Euro, is to default.

Let the banker take hit and haircut on their debt.

Tax payers should not be made to pay for luxury of bankers and banking.

Default will not be a trigger for next melt down.

Greek PM to Reshuffle Cabinet; IMF 'Concerned' - CNBC

Will Greece be trigger point?

No I don't think so?

It will not be a trigger for next melt down, it is already discounted in market. It is smaller than Lehman default? The strigger needs to be bigger. There is nothing to worry? If it default, then it is best thing now. If not then it will default in next year or so. Present situation of Europe is much better than USA. The toxic is in the system there and financial system.

European default in general will not be trigger for next meltdown? After Greece........ Irland...... Spain.........Portugal...........Italy. One at a time. Still no problem. They all will default in next three to five years time, if not now. Let us clean it.

Global meltdown trigger can only come from USA, I am waiting for AIG or Goldman, they will be the trigger for collapse.

In my opinion Fed will go for next round of easing and then let us wait for more.

This will be 3 to 5 years. And best job guarantee is War?

War is coming? Libya is one, Yemen next, then Syria and yes Sudan. This how to create jobs for 10% unemployeed US.

Arab world has started changing but now, this is turn of Europe to change.

Greece, Space and many more more regime will change.

The best option for Greece is to default

Euro Debt Crisis: Greece Crippled by Protests, Strike Over Austerity - CNBC

Greece are already junk grade CCC and nothing more to lose. The best option today for them is to default. Dubai defaulted and restryctured and now moving slowly so is Iceland. in 1996 currency crisis Indonesia along with other nations used the gimmick.
Why the nation and peoples pay for the American Mess? Let there be default, give the bond holder including the master of the ring Goldman big haircut. It will take some time but Greece will be soon out of crisis.
Default will help Greece to come out of the crisis soon. If we look at history of default then, Argentina and many more defaulted. The bond holder who paid for corruption and luxury must be held responsible and given good haircut on their value.
Why future generations pay for the crisis?
No to mess? No to Printing Press? No to Printing money worth nothing.
For the bright future and safe and secure tommorrow for the next generation best solution is default.
The bond holder must pay for their risk?
This is only way out.

Black Day For Indian Industry and Development of West Bangal

The Singur Drama - Justice or Injustice - Development or Backwardness

Revenge will never deliver anything, it will only deliver revenge. Those with good heart and good intentions never go for revenge.

Today is very sad day for West Bangal, it will start a long road to injustice. If west bengal people voted for development, Mamata Di with Pranob Da can not deliver it. In my career, I saw and experienced Tata's very closely and worked with their many social veentures.

I can say 100% and I am more confident no one Indian industrial house has the record as good as of Tata's to deliver the society, the most wanted justice.
Tata Trust and Tata Brand in general are known for their social commitment for last more than 150 years. This is more than the life span of Da and Di together. Tata's changed life of people through out the nation.

I remember very well when I was doing my MBA from Pune University, we visited Tata Motors and saw how their HRM work. I am really surprised to see how much care they take about their people. The man who was heading HRM knows workers with names, their kids and what they doing. What are the problems they are facing in society and always eager to solve it.

After my MBA, I was with the team which launched Tata Select Equity ( first socially responsible and shariah compliant fund of India.). I worked on many projects fully supported by Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabaji Tata Trust. I know how much they care about the society and problems society facing for livelyhood.

Unfortunately this is worst of decision by Di and Da. It will take West Bengal to 19th Century.

What is the record of Di and Da? Do they really have anything to show, except derailed Railway? From profit making to losses? Apart from shounting what else Di can do?

This will not be justice to anyone, it will start long battle between the state all powerfull and those who care for peoples of nation, definitely Tata.
Tata's has impeachable record of , no one can take it by legislation. This is long judicial battle. The battle which may take 25 years may be more, only my next generation will see if at all it happens, who wins.

Brand of Tata will win Hearts, because it is in Hearts of Indian. It is brand of India. No one can defeat it.

Govt favoured RIL in gas contract: CAG

Govt favoured RIL in gas contract: CAG

Is this the first time? If we look at history of reliance and Dhirubhai Ambani, during licence raj. This is history of GOD father, GOD father of reliance, their fooprint in corridores of power. Past and present government has always helped them over others.

Even before they can acquire land for Jamnagar refinery, IPO came, which is approved by government. UTI invested 850 crore(8.5 in it, it is pre IPO subscription. No one really sure and it ws debated during UTI US64 debacle which government rescued.

The famous rivary between Reliance and Bombay Dying and assault on Nusli Wadia was well known. For sure no one really known the 8500 companies which are the persons acting on consent in reliance who are they?

These 8500 private comapnies are source of corruption and used for channelling benefits and money to the their political GOD father.

Baba declares assets, but gives few details - Indian Express

Very nice business Idea, I never thought of. 1100 crore INR ( 250 million USD) in 17 years, without taxes and without any responsibilty, enjoy yourself. Baba of business empire.
India has many such big empires build on peoples money known as donations which are never accounted, this all money is black money. Just few days ago Satya Sai baba died , it is said he had wealth of more than 11000 crore.
India has always had a love affair with sadhus, sants and sundry babas, but till not too long ago, these worthies tended to stay out of public life. They had large numbers of followers and it was hardly a secret that many politicians were among them, but the holy men (and a few women) did not dabble in politics, at least not openly. Ministers and Governors (and Supreme Court judges too) routinely fell at the feet of such babas, but if at all any politics was discussed, it was behind closed doors.
What about wealth of many more baba's, these are the black money holders, their devotees give them black money, all this money must go to peoples of India.

Those who talk of black money must come clean themselves on black. Baba Ramdev is not Anna.

I'm raising only a nationalist force: Ramdev

He want to raise a force, saffron force which is called nationalist force. Force of Sadhwi Rithmbara and Sadhwi Pragya Singh and Naredra Modi. These are the people who want to destroy communal harmony of the country. Nationalist Force is Hindu force and it is not Baapu has dream. Those who killed Baapu can not be called patriotic, patrotic about well being of India and peoples of India. They can only be called terrorist.

The great land grab: India's war on farmers - Opinion - Al Jazeera English

Do really India need this kind of development. India is growing and growing very fast but it must understand the cost of development. It can not kill and deprive the people of their livilyhood. It is very important to have development but more important are human values. We do not need development for those few rich people. India is facing Maoist issue is rural and forest areas. The root cause is injustice and exploitation of all kind. Government must understand the emotions of people, before depriving them of their land and homes. It is will incrase crimes and law and order problem.

Women in Islam Way to Peace and Salvation

Selective abortion of girls on rise among rich, educated India the Emerging World Power, one of the strongest contender of UNSC permanent seat unfortunately can't save its own girls. The Indian society and present day social customs has made it very difficult to have a girl child. This is because of traditions in the society where girl is considered as burden and marriage becomes very difficult. New Delhi: Between 42 lakh and 1.21 crore female foetuses were selectively aborted in the country in the last three decades and wealthy and educated families are increasingly going for abortion of the second girl child if their first-born too was a girl, claims a new study. Selective abortions of girls are estimated to be between 4.2 and 12.1 million over the three decades from 1980 to 2010, as per the research findings that are to be published in the upcoming issue of prestigious 'Lancet' magazine. Parents are going for abortion of the second girl child to ensure that at least one child in the family be a boy. Make marriage easy.

Women in Islam - Way to Peace and Salvation

a) As a child and an adolescent

Despite the social acceptance of female infanticide among some Arabian tribes, the Qur'an forbade this custom, and considered it a crime like any other murder. "And when the female (infant) buried alive - is questioned, for what crime she was killed." (Qur'an 81:8-9). Criticizing the attitudes of such parents who reject their female children, the Qur'an states: When news is brought to one of them, of (the Birth of) a female (child), his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief! With shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain her on (sufferance) and contempt, or bury her in the dust? Ah! What an evil (choice) they decide on? (Qur'an 16: 58-59). Far from saving the girl's life so that she may later suffer injustice and inequality, Islam requires kind and just treatment for her. Among the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (P.) in this regard are the following: Whosoever has a daughter and he does not bury her alive, does not insult her, and does not favor his son over her; God will enter him into Paradise. (Ibn Hanbal, No. 1957). Whosoever supports two daughters till they mature, he and I will come in the day of judgment as this (and he pointed with his two fingers held together).

b) As a wife:

The Qur'an clearly indicates that marriage is sharing between the two halves of the society, and that its objectives, beside perpetuating human life, are emotional well-being and spiritual harmony. Its bases are love and mercy. Among the most impressive verses in the Qur'an about marriage is the following. "And among His signs is this: That He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest, peace of mind in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo, herein indeed are signs for people who reflect." (Qur'an 30:2 1). According to Islamic Law, women cannot be forced to marry anyone without their consent. Ibn Abbas reported that a girl came to the Messenger of God, Muhammad (P.), and she reported that her father had forced her to marry without her consent. The Messenger of God gave her the choice . . . (between accepting the marriage or invalidating it). (Ibn Hanbal No. 2469). In another version, the girl said: "Actually I accept this marriage but I wanted to let women know that parents have no right (to force a husband on them)" (Ibn Maja, No. 1873). The Qur'an thus states: "And they (women) have rights similar to those (of men) over them, and men are a degree above them." (Qur'an 2:228). Such degree is Quiwama (maintenance and protection). This refers to that natural difference between the sexes which entitles the weaker sex to protection. It implies no superiority or advantage before the law. Yet, man's role of leadership in relation to his family does not mean the husband's dictatorship over his wife. Islam emphasizes the importance of taking counsel and mutual agreement in family decisions. The Qur'an gives us an example: The Qur'an states: "...But consort with them in kindness, for if you hate them it may happen that you hate a thing wherein God has placed much good." (Qur'an 4: l9). Prophet Muhammad. (P) said: The best of you is the best to his family and I am the best among you to my family. The most perfect believers are the best in conduct and best of you are those who are best to their wives. (Ibn-Hanbal, No. 7396)

c) As a mother:

Islam considered kindness to parents next to the worship of God. "And we have enjoined upon man (to be good) to his parents: His mother bears him in weakness upon weakness..." (Qur'an 31:14) (See also Qur'an 46:15, 29:8). Moreover, the Qur'an has a special recommendation for the good treatment of mothers: "Your Lord has decreed that you worship none save Him, and that you be kind to your parents. . ." (Qur'an 17:23). A man came to Prophet Muhammad (P) asking: O Messenger of God, who among the people is the most worthy of my good company? The Prophet (P) said, Your mother. The man said then who else: The Prophet (P) said, Your mother. The man asked, Then who else? Only then did the Prophet (P) say, Your father. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim). A famous saying of The Prophet is "Paradise is at the feet of mothers." (In Al'Nisa'I, Ibn Majah, Ahmad). "It is the generous (in character) who is good to women, and it is the wicked who insults them."

Make Marriage easy and "Zina" difficult

"Make Marriage easy and Zina Difficult"
Today we are living in society where marriage has became difficult and it is getting more and more difficult. Becuase of this new generation is falling into other side and that is "Zina".

"O ye who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from God, but do (precisely) what they are commanded. [Holy Quran: Tahrim 66: 6]

  • Keep marriage as simple as possible and less expensive.

  • Avoid Haram in the marriage.( Photography, video, music and dancing)

  • Dowry - Father of the girl pays to boy and his family - which may include all kinds of material given in the name of gift.- TV, Car, bike, home, gold what ever you name and it is not islamic. Stop it ....... it is not Islamic and Haram

  • Bidda - Haldi and other local rituals before and after marriage. Dancing by girls. Stop it ....... it is not Islamic

  • Material given to parents of boy and girl in the name of gift ( cloth, money etc). Stop it ....... it is not Islamic

Remember there is no place for all this in Islam, all this will take you to the fire of hell. This is already spoilling our society and we all answerable to our Allah for our deeds.

And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqûn" Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect. Quran 25:74

Marriages in Islam are considered to be a very important Sunnah. But have we ever thought why it is getting so difficult to get married these days. When I thought of this topic, I recalled many people around me who are willing to get married but are not able to.

Problems are many… It is difficult to find the right partner. Even if they find a person with all “characteristics” they are looking for, caste system makes it more difficult.
But the issue which I want to raise is the extravagances done in marriages these days. For a middle-class man with minimal earning, it is the most difficult task to get their daughters and sons married. They start earning and collecting money at the time their daughters are born. The expenses done in different customs and rituals are so huge that it becomes unbearable. And it applies to both, the bride and bridegroom’s side.

When to Marry

Hadith - Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 4, Narrated 'Abdullah
We were with the Prophet while we were young and had no wealth whatever. So Allah's Apostle said, "O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power."
Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi #3090, Narrated Abu Hurairah, r.a.
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, 'When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so, there will be temptation on Earth and extensive corruption.' [Tirmidhi, Nasa'i and Ibn Majah transmitted it.]
Marry those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female: if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasseth (encompasses) all, and he knoweth (knows) all things. An-Nur 24:32
The consequences of not paying attention on this important Hadeeth can be seen very clearly in the society. Modesty is a lost feature now. Dating can be seen as a habit in youngsters. If a youngster does not have a boyfriend or girlfriend, he/she is considered to be very outdated and good for nothing. We are progressing towards a society, where Zina is becoming a very common feature. And all this is because of delay in marriages - which is due to lack of money to spend extravagance in unnecessary rituals. Nowadays, it is easy to indulge in Zina. We have made Zina easier for our youngsters than getting married. If a youngster really wants to follow Shariah, and asks his parents to get him or her married, the answer they get is that ‘We are not in a situation to get you married before one or two years, we need some more time to collect the required money’. And after this if this youngster gets involved in a relationship not allowed by Shariah, whom are you going to blame? Aren’t their parents responsible for that?
Allah commands in the Glorious Quran “And come not near to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).” [Surah Isra (17):32]
Prophet (S) said - Make Marriage easy so that "Zina" (Illegal sex) becomes difficult.
O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. (Holy Qur'an 49:13)

Prophet Muhammad (S) considered simple weddings the best weddings:'The best wedding is that upon which the least trouble and expense is bestowed". (Mishkat)Extravagance discouragedNarrated 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Allah's Messenger (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said; "Blessed is the marriage which does not entail much expenditure." (Bayhaqi)

Whom to Marry

Marry the pious

Hadrat Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) as saying, "A woman may be married for four reasons; for her property, her rank, her beauty and her religion, so get the one who is religious and prosper." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Virtuous wives are the best Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be up upon him) said: "The whole world is a place of useful things and the best thing of this world is a virtuous woman (wife)." (Muslim)
The greatest blessing in the world is a pious wife. - The Prophet of Islam (saw)
A Pious Poor Man is a Better Marriage Suitor than a Rich Man Who is Not PiousHadith - Bukhari 7.28, Narrated Sahl
A man passed by Allah's Apostle and Allah's Apostle asked (his companions) "What do you say about this (man)?" They replied, "If he asks for a lady's hand, he ought to be given her in marriage; and if he intercedes (for someone) his intercessor should be accepted; and if he speaks, he should be listened to." Allah's Apostle kept silent, and then a man from among the poor Muslims passed by, an Allah's Apostle asked (them) "What do you say about this man?" They replied, "If he asks for a lady's hand in marriage he does not deserve to be married, and he intercedes (for someone), his intercession should not be accepted; And if he speaks, he should not be listened to." Allah's Apostle (saaws) said, "This poor man is better than so many of the first as filling the earth."

Have a look at the girl

Narrated Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said: "Before proposing marriage to any woman, one should have a look at her if possible." (Abu Dawud)
From Abu Hurayrah: “I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when a man came and told him that he had married a woman of the Ansaar. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to him, ‘Have you seen her?’ He said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Go and look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansaar.” (Reported by Muslim, no. 1424; and by al-Daaraqutni, 3/253 (34))Accept good proposalsHadrat Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) as saying, "When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so there will be temptation in the earth and extensive corruption". (Tirmidhi)

Mahr

The Noble Qur'an 4:4
And give to the women (whom you marry) their Mahr (obligatory bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) with a good heart, but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, take it, and enjoy it without fear of any harm (as Allâh has made it lawful).
Narrated Hadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): Hadrat 'AbdulRahman ibn 'Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) got married and gave his wife gold equal to the weight of a date stone (as Mahr). When Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) noticed the signs of cheerfulness of the marriage (on his face) and asked him about it he said, "I have married and given (my wife) gold equal to a date stone in weight (as Mahr)". (Bukhari)

Narrated Hadrat Sahl bin Sa'd: A woman presented herself to Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) (for marriage). A man said to him, "O Allah's Apostle! (if you are not in need of her) marry her to me." The Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said (to him), "What have you got?" The man said, "I have nothing". The Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said (to him), "Go and search (for something) even if it were an iron ring." The man went and returned saying, "No, I have not found anything, not even an iron ring, but this is my waist sheet and half of it is for her". He had no Rida (upper garment). The Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said, "What will she do with your waist sheet? If you wear it, she will have nothing over her and if she wears it, you will have nothing over you." So the man sat down and when he had sat a long time, he got up (to leave). When the Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) saw him (leaving), he called him back, or the man was called (to him) and he said to the man, "How much of the Qur'an do you know (by heart)?" "I know such and such suras (by heart)", said the man naming the suras. The Prophet (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said, "I have married her to you for what you know of the Qur'an". (Bukhari)

Marriage Is A Basis For Blessings 1. The Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam has stated, "Marriage is the basis for blessings and children are an abundance of mercy." There is no better structure founded in Islam other than marriage. - The Prophet of Islam (saw)

Whoever chooses to follow my tradition must get married and produce offspring through marriage (and increase the population of Muslims) so that on the day of resurrection I shall confront other Ummah (nations) with the (great) numbers of my Ummah. - The Prophet of Islam (saw)

Verily, the most perfect amongst believers in faith is he who is the best in manner and the kindest to his wife. - The Prophet of Islam (saw)

Marriage fulfils half of the religionHadrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) as saying, "When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of the religion; so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half." (Bayhaqi)

Behave best towards wivesHadrat Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) said: The most perfect Muslim in the matter of faith is one who has an excellent behaviour; and the best among you are those who behave best towards their wives. (Tirmidhi)

Acts to be Avoided

We should be careful to not act as the disbelievers do regarding their mixing of men and women, wearing tuxedos and white wedding gowns, exchanging rings, kissing in public, etc. Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi was sallam) said, "Whoever resembles a people is one of them. " (Abu Dawood)

Islamic Bank the challenges

Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah, that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject Faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me.
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favors upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.

But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. (3) Quran Al Maidah 3

· Islam is completed and there is no transition, shariah is complete and there can’t be any more addition.
· The door of Ijtehaad is open but stopped long time ago.
· Ijma of Scholars of Ummah is open and practiced.
Those who are talking of transition period, there is no transition. There are no differences or dispute on any of the basic principles of Shariah.
· Maqasid al Shariah – everyone is agreed on it.
· Halal and Haram everyone agrees and no issues.
· Ethics, moral values and transparency is agreed upon.
· Basic principles of contract and product is agreed
Transition is only related to work in progress for something innovative within parameters and limits of shariah. (This should go on and more expertise and competence should be develop.)
I am talking of basic principles which have been agreed by AAOIFI and IFSB and IOC Fiqah Academy. How much compliant are our institutions are? I am talking about three examples.
· Even though Shariah Board of the company has very clear opinion and this opinion that the contract is Shariah Compliant and this opinion is held by all Shariah Scholars also, do company has any right to go to the secular court and fight a case in secular court (judge do not understand Shariah, his judgment will be based on who has better lawyer and argument) because company has ill intentions not to pay.
· Is there any logic or compliance when funds invest in haram, whatever may be the case?
· Can there be Sukuk for a company engaged in Haram Activities and its majority income is Haram.
· Sukuk are assets based or assets backed, when they default why there is long litigation, basically the assets should be sold to pay the investors.( there are big litigations and fights because really we do want a product which can be sold as Islamic in market but we do not want to adhere to the principle and spirit of Shariah.)
· Shariah Compliance inside the institution and its practices and its supervision of activities. How many of IFI are following these standards.
· Derivatives and structured products – There is no scope that industry can act in this matter, industry do not any right to come out re packaged product. There is no place of self-regulation (regulating or enacting or making new law) or self-governance (self-regulation). Only Shariah Scholar based on Ijma of Scholars of Ummah can come to some kind of solution for this. There is no place for industry overtones or self-proclaimed product agreed by Industry. (Even if all Ummah agrees on Haram, it cannot be allowed and will always remain Haram.)
· Industry must have enough presentation for those who understands and follows Shariah so that these people can keep watch on complete life cycle (product life cycle) of IFI products and services.
· Just Shariah Board an outsider is not enough to say company is Shariah Compliant and its Product and services is Shariah Compliant.
· There must be enough Muttaqueen (pious, who fear Allah and Follows Shariah in all aspects of life). Unless and until this happens there is little chances the IFI can remain Islamic.

How much Islamic are Islamic Bank ?

I have written on the Dubai's debacle before also. Today I am going more the pracyices adopted by Islamic Bank's and financial institutions and they are not Islamic, or does not comply with basic principles of Shariah. This is very important issue.
Islamic Bank and Financial Institutions needs cleaning , from its practices and peoples who themselves does not have enough trust in their own system. I am writting with my experience and due diligence I did while acquisition process or otherwise and public information available on these companies from stock markets.

  1. The myth about Islamic Funds ( offshore / private equity) - Only the contract remains Islamic and Shariah board has responsibility only. I have seen after that they are indulging in all Kinds of activities, investment in hotels which serves alcohol, financing conventional, and conventional leveraging more than value of fund itself. When I asked them these are funds and funds are Islmic and investment has nothing to do with investment they are making. There is not a single person who understands shariah and can look after the interest of the investor. Unfortunately this is the story and it is very sad.

  2. The most important diffrence is moral values and transparency. _ The moral's are equally bad may be more. When I look through the balance sheet and it is equally manupulative. The industry need to understand they need people who belive and has trust in the Islamic Banking and has very high moral standards. ( Taqawa ). Shariah Scholar and Promoter must understand the diffrence, if they are coming just to make money they Dubai is waiting for such people, the debacle. The leadership of such companies should be shariah compliants.

  3. The funds, investments and all value chain must remain clean andshariah compliant, otherwise there is no difference.

  4. The muslims come to the Islamic Finance the most important reason is religion, they want halal income. They do not want to go to the Fire ( Jahannam ) for eating haram in this life. This is sole reason, profit is always secondary, two things investor expect from them is Good Service and Halal Profit. ( If islamic finance can not give halal return then there is no need of it.) I personally know thousands people who leave their interest in banks and give in writting to bank please do not pay us interest.

(4:65) But no, by your Lord, they cannot become true be-lievers until they seek your arbitration in all matters on which they disagree among themselves, and then find not the least vexation in their hearts over what you have decided, and accept it in willing submission. *95.The application of the injunction embodied in this verse is not confined to the life-time of the Prophet (peace be on him). It will remain in force until the Day of Judgement. The guidance the Prophet (peace be on him) proclaimed on God's behalf, and the manner in which he followed God's direction and inspiration, will for ever remain the universal touchstone for Muslims. In fact, recognition of that guidance as the final authority is the criterion of true belief. This principle was pronounced by the Prophet (peace be on him) in the following words: 'None of you can become a believer until his desires become subservient to what I have brought (i.e. my teachings).' (Cited by al-Nawawi in al-Arba'in, see the tradition no. 41, transmitted on their authority of Abu al-Qasim Isma'il b. Muhammad al-Isfahani, Kitab al-Hujjah with the opinion that it is a 'good' and 'sound' tradition, with a sound chain of transmission - Ed.)

Those who do not want to follow Islamic Principles they go and fight cases in secular courts even if their own Shariah Baoard is advising them otherwise. Such companies has ill intensions in their heart and they do not want to pay their investors.

  1. The practices of Islamic Banking - Tawwaruk and Murabah must comply Shariah. They are allowed but in practice how much shariah compliant they are. Secondly Wkalah contract is ISlamic, but what happens after that must be Islamic. The practices and procedures must comply Shariah.

  2. New Products - Islamic Finance do not need to compete with conventional product. Virtual products has no place in Ilamic Finace - Any kind of derivatives or derivatives based product are not needed. The scholras and industry who are trying to develop such thing must restrain themselves and sought guidance from Allah ( Istekhara). What Islamic Finance needed is people who believe and trust and work with Guidance from Allah. Allah will ( Insha Allah) will guide them to right product development and best practices.

  3. The product must satisfy following requirement.

o Maqasid al Shariaho

Conditions of contract

Islamic Economic SystemIslamic economics is based on the Shariah. The basic objectives are to ensure general human well-being and socio-economic justice.

THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN CONVENTIONAL AND ISLAMIC THEORIES

The Role of Moral Values

While conventional economics generally considers the behavior, tastes and preferences of individuals as given, Islamic economics does not do so. It places great emphasis on individual and social reforms through moral uplift.

The Importance of the Hereafter

The Hereafter is a concept which is completely ignored by conventional economics, but it is one which is greatly emphasized by Islam. Because of their innate goodness, human beings do not always try to serve their self-interest.

MAQASID E SHARIAH- the Objectives of Shari'ah

Maqasid al-Shari'ah that is, the objectives of Shari'ah can be defined as below:· Maqasid al-Shari'ah comprises those benefits/welfare/advantages for which Allah has revealed His Shari'ah.· Maqasid al-Shari'ah aims at the attainment of good, welfare, advantage, benefits, etcetera, and warding off evil, injury, loss, etcetera, for the creatures. (All this in Arabic terminology can be stated as Masalih al-'Ibad.)

Islamic Commercial Law -Legality of Cause, Object and Consideration

Let us All of us introspect and ask for guidance and success is for those who chose right path. ( Sirat e Mustkim).

وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا ﴿17:81﴾

17:81) And declare, "The Truth has come and falsehood has vanished: for falsehood is a thing that must by its nature vanish."

At the time of this declaration, the persecution of the Muslims was at its height. A large number of them had emigrated to Habash, and those who had remained behind were suffering from untold hardships at Makkah and its suburbs: so much so that the life of the Holy Prophet himself was always in danger. Therefore, to all appearances, falsehood was prevailing everywhere and there was no sign to show that the truth would ever overpower falsehood. That is why the disbelievers took it for a boastful talk and scoffed at it when this declaration was trade. But this prophecy of victory did come out true in less than a decade when the Holy Prophet entered the same city of Makkah as a conqueror, and entered the Ka'abah where he made the same declaration while he was breaking the three hundred and sixty idols. According to a Tradition of Bukhari, related by Hadrat 'Abdullah bin Mas`ud, "On the day of the conquest of Makkah the Holy Prophet went on striking idols and uttering these words: `The Truth has come and falsehood has vanished; for falsehood is a thing that must by its nature vanish. The Truth has come and falsehood will never reappear nor return' . "

EU-US Economies - Will Another Lehman-Style Crisis Be Prevented? - CNBC

EU-US Economies - Will Another Lehman-Style Crisis Be Prevented? - CNBC

No it is not possible. The crisis can not be prevented. When we look at present situation not much has been changed and the causes of the previous collapse are still existant in the market.

  • Too Big to Fail -- The companies which were affected and needs rresue have become bigger, the systematic risk of collapse of the system has not removed or reduced, over the years it has increased.

  • Off Balance Sheet Transaction - Derivatives and swaps are there and no body really knows how much each of them owe. How much risk or swaps or derivates they have played. Derivatives are sttill off balancesheet and not goverened by the Financial Authorities.

  • Toxic assets are still there on the balance sheet sitting and looking pretty beutiful. No one knows how much toxic each of them has and what is its worth.

  • Credit Rating Agencies are same, methods are same and methodology is the same. They are still beyond control and again started playing the dirty game.

  • Auditors are same - they have not changed their behaviour and practices. They are not controlled and supervised.

  • Housing is going down, mortges are under water and bond for them are in market. Game is still on.

Unless and untill the reasons behind the crisis are corrected, another crisis can not be avoided.

The only difference is that, Mr. Ben Bernanke has new printing press and this one is priting Dollars and Printting as much he want. No one in world is sure what is worth of this Dollar.
