Prophets Methods of Correcting Mistakes- Explaining to the person who is making a mistake how to put things right

The Prophet (SAW) did this in a number of ways, including the following:
Drawing an individual’s attention to his mistake so that he could put it right himself.
An example of this is the report narrated by Abu Sa‘eed al- Khudri, who said that he was with the Messenger of Allah, and the Prophet entered and saw a man sitting in the middle of ‘he mosque, clasping his fingers together and talking to
himself. The Prophet (SAW) gestured towards him, but he did not notice. So he turned to Abu Sa'eed and said,
‘If one of you is praying, he should not clasp his fingers together, because this clasping comes from the Shaytan, and you are in a state of prayer so long as you are in the mosque, until you go out.’”
—            Asking the person to do something again correctly, if this is possible.
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that a man entered the mosque whilst the Messenger of Allah was sitting in a far comer. He prayed, then he came and greeted him with salam. The Messenger of Allah said,
“wa 'alaykas-salam, go back and pray, because you have not prayed.” So he went back and prayed, then he came back and greeted the Prophet, who said, “Wa ‘alaykas-salarn, go back and pray, because you have not prayed (correctly).” On the second occasion, or subsequently, the man said, “Teach me, O’ Messenger of Allah.” He said, “When you stand up to pray, do wudoo ’ properly, then face the Qiblah aud say Takbeer (Alla.hu Akbar']. Then recite whatever is easy for you of the Qur’an, then bow until you are at ease in rukoo ‘ (bowing), then stand up until your back is completely straight. Then prostrate until you are at ease in sujood. (prostration), then sit up until you are at ease in your sitting, then
prostrate again until you are at ease in your sujood, then sit up again until you are at ease in your sitting.
Do this in all your prayers.”
We should note that the Prophet (SAW) used to pay attention to the actions of the people around him so that he could teach them. According to a report narrated by an-Nasa’i:
“A man entered the mosque and prayed, whilst the Messenger of Allah was watching him. When he finished, he turned and greeted the Messenger of Allah, who told him, ‘Go back and pray, for you have not prayed (correctly)’...”
Among the qualities of the educator is that he should be aware of the actions of those who are with him,
—            It is a part of educational wisdom to ask a person who has made a mistake to re-do his action, so that he can notice his mistake and put it right himself, especially when it is an obvious mistake that does not befit him. He may have done it out of forgetfulness, so this will remind him.
—            If the person who has made a mistake does not realize it, it must be pointed out and explained to him.
—            Giving information to a person who is interested and has asked about it himself is more effective and is more likely to be remembered than handing it out to someone who has not made any such inquiries.
The methods of teaching are many, and the educator can choose whichever are best suited in any given circumstances.
Another example of asking a person to repeat his action correctly is given by Muslim in his Saheeh, where he reports that Jabir said: ““Umar ibn al-Khattab  told me that,
‘A man did wudoo  but missed an area on his foot in the size of a fingernail. The Prophet saw him and said, 'Go back and do your wudoo’ properly.’ So he went and did it again, then he prayed.’”
A third example was narrated by at-Tirmidhi in his Sunan from Kildah ibn Kanbal, who said that Safwan ibn Umayyah sent him with some milk, yoghurt and daghabees (cucumbers) to the Prophet, when the Prophet was at the top of the valley. He said,
“I went near him, and I did not greet him with salam or ask permission to enter, so the Prophet said, "Go out and say, ‘as-salamu ‘alaykum,’ may 1 enter?’ ”'
—            Asking the person who has made the mistake to correct it as much as he can.
Bukhari reported from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said,
“No man should be alone with a woman unless he is a mahram (close blood relative to whom marriage is permanently forbidden).” A man stood up and said,
‘O’ Messenger of Allah, my wife has gone out for
Hajj and I have signed up for such-and-such a military campaign.’ He said, ‘Go back and do Hajj with your wife.’ ”
—            Putting right the consequences of the mistake.
An-Nasa’i reported in his Sunan from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr that a man came to the Prophet (SAW) and said,
“I have come to pledge allegiance to you and to make hijrah (migration). I have left my parents weeping.”
He said, “Go back to them and make them smile as you made them weep.”
Offering kaffarah (expiation) for the mistake.
If some mistakes cannot be corrected or reversed, then there are other ways offered by Islam for wiping out their effects. One of these ways is kaffarat or acts of expiation, of which there are many types, such as kaffarat al-yameen (expiation for swearing an unfulfilled oath), and expiation for dhihar (a jahili form of divorce in which one says to his wife “You are to me as my mother’s back”), and expiation for manslaughter, having intercourse during the day in Ramadan, and so on.

Prophets Methods of Correcting Mistakes - Helping a Muslim to correct his mistake

http://www.ventureart.biz

Abu Hurayrah (RA) said: “Whilst we were sitting with the Prophet, (SAW), a man came to him and said,
‘O’ Messenger of Allah, I am doomed!’ He said,
‘What is the matter with you?’ He said. ‘I had intercourse with my wife whilst I was fasting/ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Are you able to set a slave free?’ He said, ‘No.’ He asked, ‘Can you fast for two consecutive months?’ He said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Can you feed sixty poor persons?’ He said, ‘No.’ The Prophet said nothing more about the matter for a while, and whilst we were sitting there like that, the Prophet was brought a large vessel full of dates. He said, ‘Where is the one who was asking just now?’
The man said, ‘Here I am.’ He said, ‘Take this and give it in charity.’ The man said, ‘O’ Messenger of Allah, is there anyone poorer between al-Harratayn (i.e., in Madeenah) than my family?’ The Prophet smiled so broadly that his teeth could be seen, then he said, ‘Feed it to your family.’”
According to a report narrated by Ahmad from ‘A’ishah  whilst the Messenger of Allah was sitting in the shade of a large tree, a man came to him and said,
“I am burnt, O’ Messenger of Allah! ” He said, “What is the matter with you?” He said, “I had intercourse with my wife whilst I was fasting.” ‘A’ishah said:
‘This was in Ramadan ’ The Messenger of Allah said to him, “Sit down.” So he sat down at the edge of the group of people. Then a man brought a donkey on which was a vessel of dates, and said, “This is my Sadaqah (charity), O’ Messenger of Allah. ” The Messenger of Allah said, “Where is the burnt one who was here just now?” The man said, “Here I am,
O’ Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Take this and give it in charity.” He said, “To whom should I give it except myself? By the One Who sent you with the truth, I do not have anything for myself and my children.” He said, “Then take it,” so he took it.

The keys to hearts

Every door has a key.  The key to open people's hearts is to know their personalities, solve their problems, reconcile between them, benefit from their good and keep safe from their evil.  One will become an expert in all these skills if he knows their personalities.

Suppose an argument took place between a father and son due to which the father ordered the son to leave the house.  The son then tried. to return but the father persistently refused.  You then get involved in order to reconcile between the two and remind the father of the religious texts pertaining to this issue and warn him about the sin of breaking the ties of kinship.  However, he does not accept your advice, so you decide to use a different approach.  You know that he has a very emotional personality and therefore go to him and say, "Won't you have mercy on your son? He sleeps on the floor without any roof to cover him.  You eat and drink whist he remains hungry and thirsty.  Do you not think of him each time you raise a morsel of food to put into your mouth? Do you not think about how he has to walk in the heat of the sun? Do you remember when he was small how you would hug and kiss him? Do you not think for a second that he might be living on handouts whilst his father is alive?"
You would find that the father will be moved by these words and come closer to considering reconciliation.
If his father was miserly, you could say to him, "Be careful and do not entangle yourself in further problems.  Bring your son back so that he is under your supervision.  You never know, he may steal or harm someone, due to which the court may order you to pay for the damage.  You are, after all, his
 father, so be careful!"

You would find that the miser.  would reconsider due to his fear of loss of finances!
If you were speaking to the son and he loved wealth, you could say, "You need your father.  Tomorrow, you would want to get married.  Who would pay for the dowry? If your car breaks down, who will pay to get it fixed? If you fall ill, who will pay your medical fees? Your brothers are no doubt taking advantage of the situation as they are receiving their stipends and gifts whilst you sit here with nothing.  Surely, you can change your situation by kissing your father on his forehead or saying sorry to him?"
Similarly, if you were called to reconcile between a husband and wife, you could do the same and open up their hearts to       wards each other by using the appropriate skills.  Likewise, if you
wanted leave from work and knew that your boss does not give much consideration to emotional or social factors and his only concern is work, you might say to him, "I need a break for about three days in order to regain strength and vigor.  I feel that the enormous workload has resulted in me being temporarily inefficient.  Please allow me to rest my head for three days so I may return to work invigorated:'If he is someone who has consideration for social factors, you may realize that he gives great importance to family matters.  You could therefore say to him, "I need a vacation to visit my father and children.  I have been feeling distant from them for a while:'

Perfect these skills and very soon you will hear people saying about you, "We have not seen anyone as skillful as this person in convincing others:'

The result. . .

Every man has a key to his heart, and knowing his personality assists in identifying the right key to open it.

Islam as an Ideology

In order to understand the relationship between science and Islam, it is necessary first to explain Islam, as it was Islam that provided the driving force of change and research in science. It is the Islamic ideology that deserves the credit and not just the individuals  only.

The word 'Islam', in Arabic, linguistically means submission. As a term, 'Islam' refers to the Message that was revealed to Muhammad SAW by Allah, the One Creator, and a 'Muslim' is the one who believes in Allah, and accepts Muhammad SAW as the last and final Prophet and Messenger Of Allah. Consequently, a Muslim believes in Islam in its entirety.
In sharp contrast to Christianity and Judaism, Islam is not merely a religion. Rather, Islam is a unique and comprehensive ideology that guides the life of the human being. The Islamic ideology, by the definition of an ideology, consists of both the 'Aqeedah (creed, doctrine) and Systems, to regulate the practical life of human beings.

The Islamic 'Aqeedah provides the correct and comprehensive answers to the fundamental questions regarding humanity's existence and that of th universe. It addresses the issue of the human being's purpose in life, and links it with what preceded life and what will come after it, thereby settling humanity's core problem and providing the basis for systems and rules to properly Organize human affairs. This 'Aqeedah also provides the basi s for a means to implement Islam in reality, thus transferring it from 'theory' to 'practice'. This means of implementing Islam is through the State. The State is an integral part of the ideology and distinguishes it from a philosophy, which provides hypothetical ideas but no means to implement them.
Islam provide a comprehensive structure to govern the affairs of human
beings. It correctly establishes:
I) The relationship between the human being and his Creator
2) The personal affairs of individuals
3) The various relationships (social, political, economic, and international)
that exist in the society
Thus , Islam constitutes a Creed and Systems. What distinguishes Islam from the ideologies of Capitalism and Communism is that Islam is built on the correct idea, whereas the others are founded on a shallow and unenlightened view of the life of the human being and the world in which he exists. Because Islam establishes the correct understanding of life and places humanity in the correct context, the systems and culture emanating from the Islamic creed would correctly address the human nature and provide the correct solutions. In this context, Islam is compatible with the human being. Islam does not ignore a human being's instincts or desires, but organizes them in the proper context, including the survival instinct that prompts man to seek material progress through the acquisition of science and technology.

Islam is an ideology that was revealed to the world. The spread of Islam is neither confined to time or place, nor dependent upon science and technology. Although science and technology has changed the living conditions of the people around the globe, the needs and instincts of humanity have not changed. Therefore, Islam, which came to organize the needs and instincts through its implementation upon society, is applicable and valid for all time.

The First QUALITY OF A MUSLIM COMMANDER - True, constant and firm Faith

http://www.ventureart.biz

It is essential for a military man to have true and firm Faith in order to lead in the political and missionary spheres. A strong, firm and solid faith leaves a lasting and deep influence on the personality. This is a basic virtue that empowers the heart with courage, valor and a total lack of fear and ambition. Whether the army faces victory and glory or obstacles and defeat, intelligence and wisdom are never thrown off balance. In the battlefield whether faced with glorious triumph or humiliating defeat, only that army adopts a balanced viewpoint and mode of operation, which has the right faith and the right perspective.
It has often been seen in martial clustery that a victorious army and its general lose all sense of proportions and display a total loss of sense of proportion. It is intoxicated with it success and goes berserk. Civilians are killed, women are raped and human dignity is insulted and betrayed. The social system of the conquered territory is turned upside down, and social and moral values are eroded and destroyed.
But the Muslim generals regard victory with modesty and humility as a blessing and gift of Allah Almighty. This attitude is solely due to trust, faith and a right sense of values. When the Prophet entered Makkah triumphantly after conquering it, his head was bowed low down to the hump of his horse ingratitude to Allah Almighty, His Creator. He declared universal amnesty for all the people of Makkah. Similarly, a successful general who in war faces obstacles, problems and adverse conditions, instead of losing heart, turns and moves closer to Allah. He faces all difficulties with courage and bravery. This competence and ability is born of confident reliance on, and perfect and absolute trust in Allah Almighty.
This is the reason why the Prophet ,instead of losing hope in the disaster of the battle of Uhud led his injured Mujahedeen right up to Harnra' Al Asad in hot pursuit of the Quraish without giving them an opportunity to turn around and enter Al Madinah to celebrate their success. This shows that if the leading general is courageous and ambitious, he can recoup his losses and turn defeat into victory.Misfortunes and defeats fail to overcome his spirits and, ultimately it is this high morale which lifts up the sagging spirits of his soldiers and leads them to triumph.
One day the Commander in Chef of the Muslims, Messenger of Allah , was lying down in the shade of the Ka'bah, resting one of his most loyal Companion Khabbab bin Arait, who had suffered deeply from the Kuffar, asked him when Allah Almighty would help them; the suffering and cruelty had reached its utmost limits. The Prophet SAW sat-up and said: "0 Khabbab, Are you giving up so easily with just these little problems? Our predecessors who spoke up for the Truth and worshiped the Truth had suffered much more than us. Saws were used to tear them apart, and combs made of iron were used to rake their flesh, but they remained stubbornly adherent to the Truth. The greatest torture and tyranny failed to make them recant or retract an inch from their positions. 0 Khabbab, be patient and very soon you will see for yourself the gentle and halcyon days of peace everywhere. The land of Arab will become the cradle of loving and serene brotherhood. From San'a' to Hader Al Moat wayfarers will be able to travel in peace, with no fear of danger."
Calamities, misfortunes and problems have to be faced with patience and fortitude because they prove to be the forerunners of victory and success. And how does one inculcate these qualities? They are born of a deep and abiding faith in Allah Almighty; many a time, because of these qualities, events which be wilder man's powers of reason and logic occur in the battlefield. One of the greatest generals in the history of Islam, Khalid bin Waleed , right in front of the enemy fearlessly and boldly drank up a bottle of deadly poison. This lethal dose of poison did him no harm! This was because he had absolute faith that Allah Almighty could negate the effect of the poison. The enemy was "I did not fight in the battlefield for Amirul Mo'nliizeez 'Umarbin Khattab's; I fought to bring glory to Allah and Islam. I can continue to perform my duty even as an ordinary soldier. Therefore I do not regret receiving a letter of dismissal."Such an attitude can only be the result of the deep faith and a righteous viewpoint.

WHO lauds Kingdom's efforts to tackle MERS

RIYADH: The World Health Organization (WHO) has appreciated the efforts of Saudi Arabia in tackling the MERS coronavirus and urged all the countries to remain alert and ready. The organization confirmed that the warning issued by it regarding the spread of MERS in South Korea and the increased incidence of infection and deaths due to the disease should serve as a "wake up call." Peter ben Embarek, director of global programs at WHO, said public health authorities in the Kingdom are active, and have developed a strong and coherent program to combat and follow up on MERS and reduce the number of cases and deaths.

In events involving gathering of large groups of people, such as Umrah and Haj, Embarek said the Saudi health authorities have been proactive in providing all necessary services to visitors and pilgrims. "Special standards have been set for countries sending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to ensure that adequate awareness and safety measures are in full effect." The Kingdom has already proven capable of containing the virus during the Haj and Umrah season last year with not a single case being registered during that period, he said. According to a statement issued by WHO on Thursday, the MERS outbreak in South Korea is a reflection of how easy diseases can spread in an increasingly interconnected world.

The organization, however, clarified that it was optimistic and no bans on travel or trade would be required at this stage. Health officials in South Korea have announced the discovery of eight new cases of MERS, bringing the death toll in the country to 20. A total of 162 people have been infected with the virus in South Korea, which has witnessed the largest outbreak outside Saudi Arabia. The first case involved a 68-year-old Korean businessman who had just returned from a trip to the Middle East in early May. WHO said it expects the emergence of new cases over the next few weeks, although the numbers might be decreasing overall.

The Ministry of Health in South Korea said quarantine was imposed on at least 6,500 people, both in medical centers and in their homes. Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced a new MERS-related death, bringing the total number of deaths to 457 so far. The Kingdom has reported 1,034 MERS cases since 2012. A patient fully recovered in Riyadh recently, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 570, while six other are currently being treated and one is in home quarantine. The mortality rate among MERS patients is 35 percent, and no vaccine or cure exists.

Improve yourself

You sit with someone who is twenty years old and notice that he has particular etiquette's, logic and thought.  You then sit with him when he is thirty to discover that he is exactly the way he was ten years ago and has not improved at all.  Yet, you sit with others and you feel that they are actually taking benefit from their lives.  You discover that they improve themselves on a daily basis.  In fact, not an hour passes except that they improve either religiously or otherwise.  If you wish to ponder upon the different types of people with respect to self improvement, then think about the following:
There are those who like to watch those satellite television channels that help their general knowledge and intelligence grow.  They benefit from other people's experiences by watching constructive discussions, from which they learn the characteristics of debating and improve their language, understanding, and expertise in debate and persuasion.
Then there are those who cannot miss out on a series about a failed love story, or an emotional play, or a horror film, or films about useless fantasies with no link to reality at all.
Notice the difference between the two after five or ten years.  Which of the two would have improved the most in his skills and ability to fathom information, gain general knowledge, have the power to convince others, or successfully be able to cope with diverse situations? No doubt the first person! You will find the mannerisms of the first person to be completely different.

When he argues, he does so on the basis of legal references, facts and figures, while the second can only quote the words of actors and singers, so much so that one such person once said during a discussion, "Allah says: 'Strive, my servant, and 1 shall
strive with you!"

We informed him that this is not a verse from the Qur'an.  His complexion changed and he fell silent.  I then thought about the phrase and it occurred to me that it is an Egyptian idiom which was imprinted on his mind after watching a drama series!
Let's look at it from another angle that of reading newspapers and magazines.  How many people take an interest in reading beneficial news and information that helps them in developing their personality, improves their skills and increases their general knowledge? Yet, how many are those who cannot read except sports and entertainment news? This is true to such an extent that many newspapers compete with each other by increasing the sports and entertainment pages at the cost of other sections.  The same can be said about our gatherings and the things in which we spend our time.

Hence, if you would like to be a head instead of a tail, then eagerly try to practice all skills, regardless of what they may be.  'Abdullah was an energetic person but lacking in certain skills.  One day, he left his home to pray Dhuhr in the mosque.  It was his zeal for the prayer and respect for his religion which brought him out to pray.  He was walking fast in order to reach the mosque before the lqamah was given.  On his way, he passed by a date palm tree on top of which there was a man in uniform, working on the tree.  'Abdullah became surprised and thought, "Who is this man that does not care about the prayer! It is as if he didn't even hear the Adhan, or doesn't care about the lqamah, which is about to go!"
He shouted in anger, "Get down and pray!" The man responded coldly, "OK, OK. . :'
He said, again, "Hurry up and pray, you donkey!"

The man screamed, “You called me a donkey?!" He then took a branch of the tree and descended in order to hit him over the head with it! 'Abdullah hid his face with his headscarf so the man wouldn't recognise him and went on to the mosque.  The man descended from the tree in anger, went to his house, prayed and rested for a while.  He then returned to the tree to finish his job.  Then 'Asr time came and 'Abdullah went to the mosque again.  On his way he passed by the same tree and noticed the same man working.  He decided to change his method altogether and said, 'Assalamu 'alaykum! How are you?"
The man replied, "Alhamdulillah, I am fine!"

He said, "Give me some good news.  How are the dates this year?"
The man said,"AlHamdulillah. "

'Abdullah said, "May Allah give you success and provision, make your life easy for you, and not deprive you of the reward for your work!"

The man was overjoyed at hearing this supplication and said ameen to the prayer.

'Abdullah then said, "It seems that you are so preoccupied with work that perhaps you didn't notice the Adhan for 'Asr prayer.  The Adhan has been called and the lqamah is about to be given.  Perhaps you should get down, relax a little and get ready for prayer. After the prayer you can get on with your work again.  May Allah keep you healthy. "

The man said, "InshaAllah . . .  lnshaAllah . . . " and began to descend gently.

He then turned to 'Abdullah, shook his hand warmly and said, "I would like to thank you for your excellent manners.  As for the one who passed by me at Dhuhr time, I wish I could see him and show him who the real donkey is!"

The result. . .

Your skills of dealing with others determine how they deal with you.
